Robert Getchell
Robert Getchell performs regularly as a soloist with internationally renowned conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Jordi Savall, Frans Brüggen, Christophe Rousset, Jean-Claude Malgoire and Diego Fasolis, in major concert halls and festivals in Europe, South America North, South America and Asia; he has made around fifty recordings. Among his operatic roles he interpreted Glaucus in Scylla and Glaucus by Rameau, Hippolyte in Hippolyte et Aricie by Rameau, Polinice in Oedipe a Colone by Sacchini, Renaud in Armide by Lully and Ferrando in Così fan tutte by Mozart. Since his childhood he has been passionate about traditional music and in 2004 he became a member of the vocal trio White Raven, specializing in traditional Irish music, and joined François Lazarevitch and Les Musiciens de Saint Julien for two programs of traditional Irish and Scottish music which tour all over Europe.
