PROGRAM Over the moor
Songs and dances from Scotland and Ireland
The boundaries between classical and baroque repertoires and traditional repertoires are always thin, and the history of music attests to these numerous crossings (such as the Scottish songs, rearranged in particular by Beethoven, Haydn, Respighi, etc.). Without a priori and drawing on the wealth and experience of each, this program, created in June 21 at the Cité de la Voix in Vézelay, which hosted the ensemble in residence, was built around these intersections, building stone after stone a sound and an identity specific to the whole. Dance is the heart of the repertoire.
